My brother makes Acrylic duck calls and in order to drill Acrylic correctly you need to use Automatic Transmission Fluid, when you are drilling through your blank. I have not come across this technique online, for Aquarium stuff but, technically if you want a really clean cut it's what you're supposed to do. I also think some type of Jig to hold your box in place while you drilled would have helped and as you said a drill press would be better. Not to preach but, A rotary micro motor is maybe something to think of if you like to customize.

The Zorn is my all time best helper! You get one guess... but I'm a softie to i'll get you a hint. Its smaller than a Tang. (No Gem Tang even though there are 4 vendors with one right now that I know of)

Good guess. NOT a candy basslet. Not yet anyhow. The only really good LFS in town seldom stocks any fish over $100 because reef keepers here aren't savvy to such games.
