Advice on phos- and nitrate media

    Its a good product.. I use it since they changed the formula of the other Ferric Oxide I had used.. What you have to watch out for with any Ferric oxide is it will set up like concrete in the base of the reactor if you don't keep the water flow adjusted so the media stays in a fluidized state .. Its way better then the Aluminum oxide stuff . But then with that type Sea-chem Phosguard was the best I ever found..

    Thanx for the advice the last thing i need is a brick in the bottom of my reactor.

    Hello all, Happy Labor Day Weekend!

    what is the best material to use for phos removal? I am using carbon and a phos filter material...what is another good medium?

    ROWA has my vote unless Pur Phos get back to their original formula
