I'm going out and buying sand today! My question is can I add sand to my current sand bed? Currently it's very shallow, and not very good for my pistol, or Nassarius.

I'm getting more sand for my new tank xD

Id add it in slowly, like a cup a day. Turn off powerheads when doing so.

Oh and rinse it as good as possible it will keep some of the dust form going in your tank and then I would put in new filter sock or sponge in when filtration turned back on to catch the dust out of the water

Yes rinse new sand with RO/DI water, once washed add small amounts so you dont bury all the good CUC from your sand bed you have now.
