The thicker the plexiglas the more stable it will be.
Silicone from Home depot is way cheaper than at the LFS...FYI.
leave enough room for a sponge filter and put it just before the return pump.

What are you using to cut the plexiglass?
I think home depot will cut it for you for a small fee but it will be a straight cut.
Just have all the dimensions figured out and on paper before you go.

I was going to use a Dremel, but maybe I'll let Home Depot do it for me.

I cut all my plexi and siliconed it in today. I'm going to let it dry for a day or so, then I'll try to finish it up. I'll post some pictures once I get it done.

[quote author=CowboyUp link=board=Refugium;num=1075099047;start=15#15 date=01/28/04 at 21:01:59]More questions people.  The tank came with an 18inch flourescent.  Is there a favorite bulb to use for a refugium?  How long should I run the lights on the refugium?

    Thanks,

I use a clip on construction reflector and have used several different bulbs.
The 50 watt flood and 60 watt grow lights are what I like the best.
If you are using a standard aquarium type you may want to PM Craig.
    I leave mine on 24/7.
