OK. So I put a little hole big enough for my head in this wall in question.

To the right there is a beam that's load bearing (corner of the upstairs) and that's the end of the new under stair area.

To the left, is an ever smaller area under the stairs. Also to my left is an upstairs drain so the studs here are actually 4" from the wall to give room for this pipe. And then a few more inches and a regular against the wall stud.

So I make the hole bigger so I can crawl through.

    It is filthy in here.

So I clean it up and decide on an entrance.

    And here it is finished:

It's in my closet. I didn't care to paint it.

On the inside, it's pre-wired for one of those draw string lights ;)

And I'm going to intercept this plug my tank is using to add an outlet in here:

I only plan on being in this house for another 1-2 years. So I'm not going to add a sump or anything. One wall of this is my wet bar. My plan is to tap in and finally get an RO/DI and work out a siphon ATO plan set up in here. The tank is right on the other side of the main wall.

Finally, I can achieve ATO and stop using tap.
