Acans not opening up?

    They actually have shrunk down to the skeleton.

    Everything else is fine, it's only the acans.



    No crabs, but I have witnessed one fish nip at them ONCE.

    Colors are dull, not looking hot.

    Low flow.

    I usually feed with the lights off with mysis, brine, krill, or silversides. They used to take them all.

    might be the fish then, if you saw him once then my bet is he is picking at them

    yeah they wont take the food unless they are puffy... if it were my tank i would do a decent water change now...and prolly even do another one later on tonite before i went to bed...and then prolly do another one saturday night and then one sunday night... something seems to be off in the tank... regardless what test kits read.. waterchanges at 1.026 or 5, depending what u keep your salt a few times can fix things quick..

    I was doing water changes everyday for the past 2 weeks due to parameter issues.

    i couldnt tell you then man..sometimes my acans will be deflated after i feed them, but after they release waste they are back to puffy...yours in the pic look like mine after i feed them, but an hour later they are normal..

    what are your params???

    Seems like you still have an ammonia issue. .25 isn't so good. Since you are doing daily water changes, are you running a powerhead in the makeup water for 24 hrs before using it? It's not always a big deal, unless it's an every day thing. Acans can be sensitive. I'd be glad that it's just them.
