A zillion bubbles

    If the problem is not solved they won't go away on their own. To address your other question, no--the bubbles don't cause problems. They are fantastic to oxygenate the water too.

    Thing is, in this hobby; microbubbles are considered the enemy because they obscure a clear view of the tank.

    If you don't mind them, let them be. Just make sure you locate the source, because if it's an unchecked cavitating pump, after days that could spell fire--aquarium pumps are designed to be run wet!!
