    Oh man, I hate that. My first blue-spot jawfish jumped some time WHILE I was building the cover for the tank. Went to put it on and saw him surfing the carpet behind the stand.

    +1 on the egg crate or a clear mesh.....as much as I love acrylic it's a poor material for covers it will bow like crazy from water absorption more than the heat from the mh above it.....acrylic has a satuartion point of 1% on cast and 1.6% on extruded therefore when the water vapor collects on one side of the material it will cup or bow....:)

    man, at least he fell on carpet. mine fell on tile lol

    Wow... I never knew that. I would imagine it would get super heated fro the MH's.
