I just went to put a rock in my QT for a somewhat newly acquired trigger to have a little hiding place. And he just leaped right out of tank and onto the floor 5 feet down. Luckily I was right there so the second he hit the floor, I picked him up and put him back in. He was swimming up and down the height of the tank and now he's just settled in a corner of the tank. I just turned off the lights and left the room.
Is there anything else I should do? Or do I just hope for the best?:-[

Oh... I guess I'll have to get a cover made. Well he's in a QT now so no lights on there. I had planned to transfer him tomorrow to the DT. I'll see if he's eating in the morning. If he is, I'll go ahead with the transfer. The display has a MH fixture on it. I'll have to get a plexi cover made for all my tanks. I don't wanna risk another jumper.
I hope he eats as he should in the morning...:worried2:

Don't cover your tank with plexi glass. Get some light diffuser (aka eggcrate) and cover your tank with that.

I agree. Covering your tank is going to prohibit your gas exchange

I needed a laugh this morning!

Siddique, I'm glad you were able to rescue him. Let us know how the cover turns out.

Oh I thought so... I do cover with egg crate especially in the QT because it's only 12 inches deep... I just happened to move the egg crate to put the rock inside.
He's eating like a pig this morning. I'm sooooo relieved...8)
