How did you set in your removable supports for the tank? I also have been looking at melvesreef for sumps and like the model F design but I think I will make it out of a sheet of arcylic maybe.

Do you mean how do I get the sump in and out? If so I made the front and rear center bar to come out. I use a metal L bracket on the inside. Really dont even need the support, but there for extra support.
If you use acrylic the sky is the limit with design. Melvesreef is great for ideas.
Do you have a skimmer yet?

Is the Glass Holes overflow pretty silent? My tank's gonna be in the living room and this might be a perfect solution.

Mine is in my study and I love my over flow box. I would never say it super silent, but much less than a reg. overflow. IMO
No worries about the syphon breaking is also nice.

I have the 180 and it pulls out coffee great! With the 38g sump it fits nice and I still have room for a great return section and fuge.

Alright, so example. Can you hear the drain over the skimmer and return?

I can hear my mag 9.5 over the overflow, and that is with it in the base with the door closed. Only time I hear the overflow is when I am on a step ladder right over top.
