    Yellow Tang

Well I was able to get a new fish for the tank from a local reefer a beautiful Yellow Tang he is probably around 4.5" and has some fantastic colors and has been in an established tank for at least 2 years. So he is a welcome addition to the tank. We call him Tweeter (since he is yellow and yellow is like Tweety Bird cartoon but Tweety is a girl name so Tweeter wins) Photos: [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] He was kind of scared for the first hour or so but after that I feed and he ate and even got in on some algae. Here is a video of him eating. Since my wave front has a different design he was thinking the other tang was trying to eat his algae. I also noticed his twitch is that normal I never really noticed it before with my other tangs? Videos: First Added:
    Eating Algae:
I also noticed that there was a new kind of algae on my back wall it is like a red vain algae any ideas what it is? [IMG] I also got my CONTROLLER! Here is a pic of how it was set up but I have to rearrange it some though to make it fit in the stand. [IMG] Here is a video on the controller and how it is set up right now in the stand I need to get some more wire to redo the plugs.

I got a little bit more done… I was able to mount the reactors to the sump area. Hanging Reactors: [IMG] I also wanted to add a light to the sump area to light up the darker areas that I cannot see in well at night when the skimmer cup is just begging to be emptied. So here is a picture with the lights off: [IMG] And with the light on: [IMG] Not bad for an $8.00 light from Wal-Mart that has a switch on it. And I have also been continuing to mount the controller with the little spare time I have I have gotten the left side all done. Still have to do the right side and drill holes to feed the wires through. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

That's awesome, Scott! Nice update - I really like the controller. How much did that cost you to build? Have you though about putting a sheet of plastic/acrylic up to sort of cover the controller area so it doesn't corrode(i.e.-screws)?

So far I am about $15 in on the controller I thought about the putting a piece of black see through acrylic on it but I am just going to cut out a door on the side panel so I can access it when needed. The only hard part is going to be remounting the side panel since the controller main power supply sits out about 1/4" past flush of the frame so it would push the side panel out that same amount. I will have to find a way to make it fit though since I am not redoing anything.

I have the Same light for my tank. I will have one over the refugium on a reverse light cycle and one clipped to the inside frame of the stand to light everything else.

Is that $15 for the controller or did you mean$ 150?
