Well, I just read this whole thread, every last post. The amount of thought, and work, you've put into this setup is impressive. I especially love the DIY electrical work (being that you're an electrician, I guess it qualifies as less DIY and more professional, but still love it), looks really good.

Reefsparky - I've been following this thread, and I think you have inspired me to go bigger. One question, though...how'd you score a 90 reef ready tank for $219???

Just the regular price from an LFS I frequent. These guys have been around since 1975, and mark up other items. They just so happen to sell all their tanks at cost. Lucky me!!

BTW, a drilled "reef-ready" tank normally does not come with the plumbing package--the durso and the return standpipes. Everyone else sells it separately, for $59.99. Mine came with it.

It seems you've been paying attention to prices. I was one lucky guy. Many LFSs by me sell the 90G for $299, sans the plumbing kit. The way I see it, I saved almost $200 on the tank alone.

    Sparky,

Great pictorial and kudos on your workmanship (except your drilling skills ;D). That is a great job.

That was a long thread but worth it. Thanks.
