No problem. You've waited this long to just get water in there!.... Honestly, I would have filled it with tap right away ;D I would have never of had the patience that you did, so kudos to you, your tank *should* do very well :)

I ended up having to put in like a gallon of tap...but I figure that little couldn't hurt anything! :-/

You should be fine, especially if you run carbon(not through the cycle though). I would run a little bit of carbon to clear things up in there, then throw in the shrimp!

Once again, congrats! Cycling is exciting yet boring at the same time ;D

Haha yeah, I'm running carbon right now to help clear up the water. Then it's shrimp time!

Okay, I need some help. My ATO is confusing me. I'm not even sure where to begin with setting it up. Here's the one I bought: AutoTopoff.com

ATO is really a lot harder then it sounds. The little round thing is your float switch that hangs on the side of your sump. Wherever it sits is how high your water level will be. Once you set it to the right height the water will slowly evoperate. When the water level drops the float switch does too, opening the circuit. That turns your pump on which send water to your sump. The water will slowly rise until the float switch raises up high enough to close the circuit again. The pump will shut off and walah, that's pretty much how it works. Hope this helps.

    It's easy. I swear.

    Which one did you get?

Are you hooking up to a container or straight to a RO/DI?
