    just think of all that waste water. just kidding. they take a while, I hooked mine up with a float so it would stop when my res. is full and I don't have to sit and watch it all day.

    haha I know...I got to admit the waste water is bugging me! But when I use it for water changes it will definitely be less than 100 gallons! It's just this initial part that is bothering me about the waste.

    That's a good idea. Because I'm thinking in about 30 mins I'm going to be really bored of watching the water trickling into the trash can....

    If I remember right, I got a kit from dr f&s for it. it wasn't too much $ either. maybe $15 or $20, but that was a few years ago

    The voices in my head keep reassuring me of that.. My wallet looked at me and told me it was tired the other day though. The voices took care of that.

    Puh! I wish! The RO/DI unit has made about.....10-15 gallons in 5 hours or so! ;D
