Don't let this discourage you. almost every fish at the lfs was shipped. Not sure about the special bag with this place, maybe see if they can ship you another fish the old fashion way. If you don't want to chance it, maybe they have some dry goods you can get with your credit. Again sorry to hear about Pablo.

Thanks everyone. I am a sensitive person, and I get upset over the loss of animals very easily. I know it's not my fault he died, but I do feel guilty because I had him shipped. Though, rationally, I know he would have been shipped somewhere no matter what. I just feel sad!

I might go to the LFS tonight and get a fish. I'm not sure about the shipping thing....I need some more time to get the courage to try it again! I couldn't handle another dead fish showing up.

Well I emailed the lady and now I have store credit. She said she hasn't had a fish be DOA in a long time. So that makes me very sad. She said she ships to Hong Kong quite often, which is a 48 hour journey for the little fish, and they arrive fine. She thinks the heat pack must have malfunctioned - either too hot or too cold.

Anyway, when I'm feeling brave enough I can order another fish.
