    Nope. Thermometer is not going in horizontally. Doesn't fit! It's too long. Bummer!

    Haha bigger will not fit under there! Oh well, it doesn't bug me too much in the DT...it's not that bad. The power heads and overflow box are uglier :-/

    Yea, exactly the reason I made sure to get a drilled tank with overflow and closed loop when I got mine. All the equipment definitely clutters up the tank a bit. Won't be so bad once you get your coral and fish in there though.

    I use two smaller heaters in mine instead of 1 big one. that way if 1 goes out I'm still good for a day or so. Maybe you could do that and use the big one in your ro/di container.

    Yeah, my plan was to have two smaller ones, but I ended up just getting one at the time. I might buy two smaller ones in the future.

    Yeah I'll get used to it! The tank's just empty, so all I see is ugly junk! I don't even notice the equipment in my 37 anymore.

    Yep. I bought a blue/black background. I haven't put it up yet. I'm thinking blue though!
