    I'm in trouble :party-smi lol! :)

    Btw, try cleaning the glass and see if that does anything. It looks like a lot of stuff settled on there, which is not uncommon.

    Yeah it did - lots of salt scales (is that the right wording? lol)! I'm planning on cleaning it at some point today.

    Oh ya, this is not a little accomplishment! You finally have water in there, that's something to be proud of!

    How is the sump working out?

    Seems to be working....the skimmer is in a steady 8 inches of water (8-10 is rec.), the return pump is fully submerged....the water is going through and coming back out of the reactor....I think it's all working!!

    The only thing I had to change was take the heater out of the sump and put it in the main DT. There wasn't enough water in the sump...only about 1/4 of the heater was covered...and that didn't seem good to me...

    Salt crystals is what I usually say, but you can call them scales if you want haha.

    I started scraping them off, but I got tired. Those are hard to get off!!

    No, on the inside. There are a bunch of salt lines on the glass....

    On the outside of your tank, I see them. The inside would most likely be sand debris that hasn't settled(I would think anyway). Oh well, just signs of a very impressive tank build :)
