55g Build.. *first SW tank

Yeah that is thick.They use that size now starting around 125 gallons.The aluminum brace can be an eyesore sometimes.I guess i would just put the old brace back on and roll with it.when you make your canopy do you plan on it being all the way around or a front sliding piece.What i mean there is the back of the canopy going to be open or will it be boxed in.If it is boxed in it will be a good extra bit of support but a pain to remove for access compared to a front sliding thats open in the back and just slides on.Either way you will be putting 4 tabs on the inside of the canopy that will set on top of the tanks brace and allows you to adjust the amount of the top of tank covered by the canopy.

 

I havent even thought about the canopy yet.. i was just going to put the brace on and then a light fixture on top

 

Oh ok thats cool too just dont get any jumpers or carpet surfers.

 

Im going to try and find a hood for it because i was gunna put my gsp's in there and those things try to jump out all the time. Is there a good place to order one from? I have one but its broken and in bad shape
