was recently on the liveaquaria.com and said the following fish would fit in a 55 gallon tank.

    bicolor dwarf angelfish
    flame dwarf angelfish
    auriga butterflyfish
    red head goby
    fire fish
    bicolor dotty back
    purple dotty back
    yellow wrasse
    undulate trigger

will all of these fish fit together in a 55 gallon tank

Well yes, they would work, but certainly not all together. Too many fish fro all being in one tank. You could do several different groupings & decide which you like best.

I would only get one dwarf angel due to conspecifics.

Triggers, depending on the species are rather aggressive. I would say that all triggers will get too large for a 55.

this tank will not be a full reef tank but may have 30 to 40 pounds of live rock. i also like that combo of fish if i only had one angel or got rid of the trigger would they work then

So it will be a fowlr. 1 angel. I wouldn't get the trigger just because they eat anything that fits in their mouth. When I had a trigger, all my fish would never go out because of fear.

my suggestion is don't get the trigger with small fish or any really, hes a jerk.
don't get two dotty backs only one, will probably fight

not sure of having two angels in one tank, may fight

I doubt they would all work together. The wrasse and fire fish are much more passive IME and may be bullied by the angel and dotty backs. The amount of fish may work though, but there's no guarantee. It depends more on the filtration you will have. Also keep in mind, butterfly fish are very hard to keep and should only be attempted by more advanced hobbyists. Do more research on the needs of each fish, adult size, compatibility etc.
