    Thank you Brennan

duckweed I know the stuff and your right it would cover the surface entirely very quickly

I may end up removing them from the pots now, the substrate was not deep enough when they where 1st added hence they got left in there and more gravel added around them

Wow Steve - simply stunning!!! It's already looking great!!!!

I will be following this along . . . . discus is about the only somewhat common freshwater species I never did try. They are beautiful specimens!!!!

    thank you M-Ocean Man

Discus are my favourite freshwater fish and they where the last freshwater fish I had before deciding to get into salt water
they are great for planted tanks , as they can slip through the plants and dont bulldoze everything like other equally large fish would

The cabomba has also doubled in height

How did I miss this thread Steve? I love planted tanks.... and Discus for that matter. You have a very nice pair there. I have yet to see a single one in real life. Stupid boonies.

Very nice tank. Great growth in those plants. I'm toying with the idea of a planted FW tank...have only had one or two at a time in my FW tanks but seeing other poeples planted tanks is making me want to try.
