40g breeder frag plumbed into 75 gal sump

I love lion fish, so beautiful. I'm probably going to convert this tank to predators when I move. I'm planning a much larger reef system and would love to have a few lions in a softy/macro alge tank.

 

yea my 75 was gonna be predatory but the GF said no

i cant wait to get my 300gal reef going....ah one day....

 

ugh so the idiot just brought me the tank i believe its a 30 long. 36Lx12Wx17H but i just realized i have a nice stand in my basement for a 36x12in tank! so got it for 10$ and gonna put in on CL for 75$? think it will sell?

also have a 55gal that leaks a little but has nice thick glass, put that up for $30 a 15gal put that up for $15 and a 10 gal put that up for $10 so hopefully i can make enough off these to get a 40B.

 

So i am thinking, 40gal breeder with the glass-holes.com overflow(how many gph oveflow should i have?), taotronics 120w dimmable led light, and pretty sure i need to upgrade my return pump. I have an 1100gph overflow on my 75 display and my sicce 3.0 only pushes 700something gph. So maybe the 3.5? or sicce 4? or should i just get the sicce 5.0 return? Then T off from the return to the 75 and have a ball valve to control flow to the 40B. Also should should i put 1 or 2 koralias? and how big of koralias?

Any thoughts?

 

Look for the petco 1$ per gallon sale, they will probably have it for 4th of july and you can get a 40b for 40$ instead of $100+!!!

Just went out on lunch break and picked up the 40B! good call man! thanks so much for the heads up!

 

So i have trouble keeping any corals other then mushrooms and like GSP in my 75 gal tank. All the other corals just die (hammer, lobo brain) all the paramaters are good tho. I only have a $100 odesyea t5 4 bulb with the crappy bulbs that came with it. Anyone think this might be the problem? Idk what else it could be. But just dont want to plumb the new tank in if it might be something else. ugh
