I must have missed that post. That sucks.
yeah it does, it had to be so low that its was pulling sand up and causing a sand storm. NO GOOD
thanks for the input though, always looking for ways to improve.
WOW ! evap is a b#*@! on this, been running since sunday, late evening. today I had to top off almost 2.5 gallons. time to invest in a ro/di, i travel for work and the wife; well the wife isnt reef safe. AUTO TOP-OFF here i come
good looking tank.
that is a lot of evap. not to freak you out or anything, but you are sure its not leaking right??
yeah I'm sure, thats the first thing I checked. I have wood floors so that would be very bad, not to mention expensive. Its used as a room divider and there are 2 ceiling fans that are on 24/7 and is an open top (well screen top) it wasnt a full 2.5 gallons but it was close.
that makes sense. with that extra surface area of the breeder and the airflow.
at least you know you have great gas exchange. an ATO will be important to keep your spg steady.
bout to order this
any thoughts ??? good or bad
Just try to get something to cover it up on the underside so snails cant get in between the two PVC layers & jam it. That wouldn't be good. A fine mesh would do good.
it wil be in the sump, so snails shouldnt be an issue, but thanks for the heads up
That was my only concern. Wasn't sure if you would have a fuge or not.
