    Feeding schedule:Twice day

Additives being used: Ca,Alk, Purple Up

Types of corals in your system:90%softies 10%LPS

Brand of BP's being used:BRS Bio Pellets

Type/brand BP Reactor:BRS BP Reactor with MJ 1200

How much BP's are you using:1cup

How long have you been using BP's:10weeks
    Reason/reasons for using BP:
To LOwer Nitrates. and to help with more bio -load.

Please share your experience with BP's:
had a cyano outbreak for about 1month! slowly went away. Nitrates went from 40ppm to ZERO! however reactor always clogs up, and slows flow down to around 25% which isn't enough to tumble at all :/ i've cleaned the chamber caps three times, but it only last about 3 days before they stop tumbling again, so i gave up on the reactor, and just put them in a mesh bag in the filter sock, if i can't get them to tumble, i'm not gonna have an extra pump running for nothing.

Will my Chaeto still grow while using bio pellets? or is it now useless?

I would call BRS and let them know the issue you are having. It should not be clogging up that quickly. And I am not sure you can get enough tumble from the mesh bag.

I have the BRS reactor as well. While it does eventually clog up mine goes for weeks before it is necessary to clean it. Try adding a prefilter to your pump.

Just a small update.since restatrting my pellets and taking the gfo off line and the addition of extra feddings my levels are trates 0(api) phos 0.001 avrg(checker)..sweet..it seems I had an imbalance of phos and trate so it was not performing like they should..thanks to jon on the wm bio pellet thread here on 3reef. And for vinny starting this thread..

is your chaeto upstream or downstream of your bio-pellets? i would be comfortable in adding upstream but leary of downstream since the bacteria on the bio-pellets could out-compete the chaeto. however, this advice is based on one experience and nothing more.

Is it normal tank being little cloudy due to bipellets and MB7. I have added both week back and another 5ml MB7 last night. today morning onwards, tank is little cloudy. also protein skimmer started to skim more, is my tank going through mini bacteria bloom. Is that somehting I need to worry about?
