I weighted myself six times and had my wife verify, but 271

I'm guessing most of which was water weight, but big week just the same.

For someone who has never worked out before I wouldn't reccomend them to start off by using free weights it is difficult to control and to keep the motion correct to work out the correct muscles. If you are starting out get a good workout plan that starts with cable machines and smith machine that guide you through the motion of the workout that way you muscles can learn the motion and after you get that down after a while you can move to free weights. If you start out with free weights you can lead to injury if you do not do the exercise right and will put off your workout goals for a good amount of time.

Also if you guys and or gals are up to it check out CROSSFIT work outs they are high intensity workout that use mainly your body weight you can start off easy with workouts that range from 20 min to 8 hours when you really want to get a workout. You check out this link.

    http://uscrossfit.com/

There is a ton of information on the subject it will get you in great shape and get your stamina up... I like to do CROSSFIT about 4 times a week and include cardio with it... I will also try to inclue 2 days of muscle specific work outs like a back/bicep/shoulder/claf/core day and a chest/tricep/quad/hamstring/core day to get direct muscle interaction.

    Thanks! I appreciate the support.

Another good week and I'm dropping a notch in my pants size, heck of an ego boost.

Good job everyone, let's stick with this!

The less food we eat the more saltwater fish we can buy!

Good to hear everyone on here is working out. I recently just started running and a lot of stretching. I was never for lifting weights and getting "buff". I just wanted to stay in shape. I am still involved with the HS wrestling scene her in NKY and staying in shape is key.

BTW, in HS I weighed on average 130 and I dropped to 112 for wrestling. Not the healthiest thing to do, but I loved the sport. I now weigh 129.
