Why is it that so many of them want to go above the water? Does this have anyting to do with breeding times?

    (sorry for the phone picture)

I also found what appears to either be a very tiny squid or a snail without a shell. It is orange in color and appeared to have tendons. It sunk to the back of the tank when I put the snails in, so now I can't find it back...

Many of the snails are from tidal pools and are used to searching for food out of the water. They also travel between pools.

Thought so. I've heard they go out of the water around breeding season...Thanks 2in10.

I will add some Hikari algae wafers. I will put those in the tank if there isn't enough algae.
