    On another note I noticed you said it was pretty scratched up. How bad? I have yet to find a way to get scratches out that really works. It will drive you crazy sitting there looking at the tank up and running then your eyes always seem to head toward the scratches.

    +1 on that. I would probably save up and get a new tank. When you start to add everything up, the tank itself is actually one of the cheapest pieces of equipment

    Pimp out the 10g! Keep that for a while, and then the bigger stuff will seem too easy. :D

    I have a 29 gallon and honestly it does the job for me. I like it, but regardless what size tank you have, the larger you get tank wise the more money you'll end up spending...

    I'll give you a rough estimate, I've probably dumped about 1500-1700 bucks into my tank (including livestock and stuff)

    just recived another tank the guy said it's a 80 gallon and my dad said we are going to set up that it's at my dad's friends house we'll pick it up in a coupple of weeks it's going to either be a fowlr or a FW setup

    right now it has 4" crushed coral and a coupple peices of dried up LR

    even if it is fish only, remove the crushed coral...

    i know none of my tanks are ever gonna have crush coral or bare bottom
