    Hello,
I have a ASM G2 Skimmer and wanted to know if anyone has designs for a 29 gal sump/refug (30L X 12W X 18H) There's not a lot of room to work with since the skimmer already takes 10 X 11 footprint.

Any recommendations on the size of the return and refuge?? I was thinking of having the baffles at 13" each. With a tank this small, will I have to be topping off the sump everyday???

    Thanks

I would box in the return pump with 2 acryllic walls in the corner of the tank and make the refuge as big as possible.

Thanks Raven, but with the return being so small, wouldn't I be constantly topping off the sump??

Yes and no. I have exactly that, a 29G sump/fuge with baffles on the right side for input/skimmer, the center for fuge and a boxed in corner for the return on the left. I find that I use about 1/2 gallon of water a day for topoff (main tank is 55G). I have a 5G bucket with a 1/4" line going to a float valve in the return box. the float valve keeps the sump/fuge level and I just put water in the 5G bucket once a week or so.

    Hope this helps :)

    Michaelr5,
Thanks for the pics, but I can only see the last picture.

Do you have the plans by any chance? Just trying to figure out dimensions.

    Thanks!!!

Actually, I just kind of built it on the fly. But I will measure everything and post it for you. Give me a day or so.

Here is a link to my first fuge that I built. I found it to be a little to hard to maintain with all the 'works' at one end to I went to the straight across design I have now.

    Raven,
I've seen that sight before. Im just wondering if my fuge and return are too small.

OK here's the first 4 pics from my post above. Apparently I tried to get too cute and put 5 pics in one post. I guess when I cleared the first 4 pics to ad the 5th it wiped out the attachment links. :p Looked good to me here, cause they were still in cache. Oh well! here they are:
