20gal clown tank

im pretty surer i've heard otherwise, but maybe your right. i personally would not keep a nem (any nem) under PC's. but yeah i guess its true that with enough bulbs and good enough reflectors you could. but it would depend on the depth of the tank, and i doubt you could fit enough bulbs over that. over a 20 gallon tank ive kept sps under a tank with just 4 pc lights with built in reflectors

 

im keeping sps in 8 gal with 1 PC bulb

 

im only going to have 2 clowns a bubble tip nem and cuc in the tank. im going to use t5s.

 

your gonna want to put some coral in the tank, you wont be able to put a nem in that tank till a year after its cycled

 

yeah try torches,frogspawns, or toadstools, or all three. all are great nem substitutes, and good choice with t5s

 

i know that im doing a 29gal reef tank also so i dont mind waiting. the clowns will be fine alone with the cuc.

 

the majority of the time a clown wont host coral with tentacles such as the ones you mentioned, only if it is very deperate. and some are unhealthy for it to host because of their stingers. same with any atlantic anemone they will be bad for the clown to host.

 

toadstools and frogspawns are often the first choice (even over nems) in lots of reefs i've seen

 

ive gotta disagree with you here, clowns will pick nems over coral in any tank unless its tank bred and they dont know what they heck they are doing
