what is the most efficient way of putting calcium and other elements in a reef? also what the best to "set it and forget it"

calcium reators are expensive and i am very confused on how the work, and 2 part dosing can be inaccurate, daily, and costly down the road. dosing pumps see to be the best of both worlds because its not a daily thing put you have to dial in the right amount of ml per min.

What do you guess use and what would be simplest?
thanks i hope this clears some things up for me.

The article is a great read and I went the dosing route for ease of use and less things to go wrong.

Yes, I had to test daily until I figured out how much of each part (Ca/Mg) I needed to put in each day, but now that I know my tank's needs, its a cinch to keep things stable.
