Mag is what you need. Plus some time and patience. That crap will be everywhere in no time. I have 2 urchins just to keep mine under somewhat control.

I know that I may regret sooner or later when it does start to grow but I'm getting sick of seeing my rocks brown and white at the moment lol.

I want to use purple up but I'm a bit hesitant because of my calcium levels being so high already.

If it was me, I would stay away from adding anything to the tank and just let the tank run its natural course. I don't really know anything about purple up, but I'm sure some on here do!

I've come across it sometime, somewhere on this forum.
I started using purple up in a 75 gal a few months ago and then stopped because I moved everything out of there. Still no coraline in there though::)

kcbrad, you don't use any additives in your system? Just water changes?

I would turn your UV light off for a little while and see if that changes anything.

strange how you have no corralline growing, ive had corraline growing in my tank like crazy since day one and hasnt stopped, its slowed down a bit but still growing and its now 6 months old.

Stuff sure is pretty on the rocks, good luck
