well my bucket of coralife salt came in today. i am switching to it from reef crystals. i am making up 5 gallons right now for a water change with it. i am going to mix to 1.025 at 77 F. i will post the calcium, alk, and ph when it is ready. i liked how well it was packaged. a bucket with three individual large packages of salt. i opened them all and just filled the bucket to make it easier. the salt is a very fine powder just like reef crystals, and the t shirt was cool to;D

    alk. 6 meq/l
    calc 530
    ph 8.1
    mixed to 1.025

now with that high calcium reading. is that ok? or should i mix the salt to a slightly lower salinity. maybe my coralline will seriously benefit from this?

it went well. mixed awsome. took 6 and 1/4 cups to get 5 gallons of water up to 1.025. like i said, the calc is a little high but that just means no more dosing for me

Still happy with this salt? We're about out & were thinking of trying something different. My calc & mag is low every day with the Reef Crystals and I have 5 corals (4 of them are soft and the other is tiny LOL).

In that case, it would be worth a try.
