    The infamous plywood tank!
    I built a smaller scale model(90 gallons)
A good thing to look into possibly is dry lok from home depot.
The stuff is cheap and works well.
    Makes it practically a tank!

I don't see any [SIZE=-1]NSF 61/USDA/ANSI/AWWA and FDA certified and
approved rating on it in its msds or other literature. I won't risk several thousands of $$ of livestock to save on 100 dollars or so of proven safe epoxy and epoxy paint.

    UGL - DRYLOK® Masonry - Masonry Waterproofer

So I take it you built yours with that stuff? If so, how long has it been up and running?

I really don't want to be a buzzkill, but I won't take that risk personally, when I know for a few dollars more I can for certain have no issues.

I am alittle upset that I wasn't able to get drunk, stand in the corner, watch and make an occasional obscene comment!!

Following this *very* carefully. I am in the process of planning a close to 400g tank and am up in the air on going with a plywood vs glass tank.
Major K+ for taking on a build like this. My biggest hesitation on a plywood tank is being unsure of my carpentry skills.

Really the carpentry skills are not needing to be cabinetry grade. Just measure 2-3x,a nd cut once. Use a table saw with a nice sharp high tooth count blade, and you will be fine.

Well once you price out glass compared to a plywood tank, I bet you will go with plywood, instead of all glass. That is if you have time and patience to make a plywood tank.

I am sure you have seen that a plywood tank with epoxy is actually stronger than an all glass constructed tank, and most folks don't sweat having an all glass tank in thier homes. But then again, with a Ply tank, YOU make it, so you have to trust yourself.

Only thing in my eyes about plywood or heck any inwall is I personally like more viewable sides... If ther was a way to have a 4 viewable sided tank that would be the ultimate to me, heck a good peninsula tank is sweet too!!
