    Ok, from what you've said, maybe I'll take out the bio rings tonight.

    I use the same exact water in my other tank, and no problems there.
    The LR actually came from my other tank, and there was no algae on it when I put it in there.
    And, I'm totally with you on the bioload. Can't fix that today, unfortunatly....
    Lights... probably not, I agree.

    So that leaves the canister filter, and the bio rings. I'll get the rest of them out of there, and see what happens.

    that big green blob is cyano? I haven't seen any images on the internet of cyano looking like that.... they reddish brown maybe but the green blobby stuff????:)

    its cyano, which comes in a variety of colors, i had it dark brownish black before.

    yep, just wait till it gets in sand bed :-/, thats when you should start stocking up on stress relieving meds........

    I thought that cyano bacteria was red also.

    But after looking at more info on it, apparently it can be blue-green just like mine.

    Lucky me...:cry:

    I'm guessing, no... not lucky LOL sorry had to say that LOL I have some Chemi Clean which is for that. I thought that's what I had until I figured out it was coralline LOL my bad.... If you want I'll send it to you for shipping. I only used one little scoop of it(scoop is like a 16th of a tsp if that)..... I paid 15.99 +tax but it's yours for the asking....and it's real small so it wouldn't cost much to send.
