I am looking to replace the bulb for the nano and it is 150w double ended bulb. What would be a good brand to replace this bulb with and would 14000k be a good bulb choice. I like the blue but don't want to over kill it with blue.

You are not gona get any blue with 14000k. You would have to go like 18000k. Or 15000K for white.

I have 2 14000K Ushio double ended bulbs. Much better than single.

    Bulbs

A Phoenix 14000K 150 watt is as blue as a 20000K xm bulbs but a little brighter. Probably the best bulb for the money with a nice bright blueish white. Aquarium Lights Hellolights.com $55.00

Ushio is VERY popular as is XM, but the spectrum of ANY bulb will change according to the type of ballast you have.....

    Happy reefing!!

I run Hamiltons in my HQI and MH, 14000K as well. No complaints here.
