That is cool. I do everything on my phone an am away from a comp. but I'll check it out later.

What is the difference with the DE an the mogular besides one screws in and the other has 2 ends. Is one better than the other? I'm new to the halides and learning as I go. Did some research but not a ton.
    Thanks

Here's a picture with the halides on for 1 hr. I will post before and after shots when I can get to a comp. Here is an after shot. With the DIY hanger.

Thank you, thank you. I am a bit proud. I do like the shimmer a lot! I see colors that I didn't know existed in my tank. Really happy I went with this set up.
Thanks for the kind words Ron.

I have the exact same fixture! I absolutely love it, got it for $300 like new :D. I keep mine only 5 inches off the water and it's just fine. All corals love it

Good info on height, what size tank do you have.

I'm not trying to 1 up you but I got mine from my local lfs for $175. Used for less than a year. They put new Phoenix bulbs in it and everything. I guess when you spend hundreds upon hundreds they tend to hook it up every now and again. I am thinking I still want to lower the fixture to the height you described.
    Thanks.

FWIW, three inches won't make any difference, especially with the T5 supplements. Tank looks great too, BTW. :)

Thank you, I think I am just going to leave it where it is. I can access the tank with ease and I like the look.
Thank you again for the advise.
