    what are some good T5 fixtures? there are alot to choose from so im not sure what i need. would i be able to set a T5 right on top of the tank? i just liked the effect of the MH but your right that it is a little expensive.

    With a $200 lighting budget for a 120 I would look into natural sunlight aka window

    is there another way to have a metal halide then hang it from the ceiling? what type of T5 fixtures would be good?

    A fixture would be pretty costly, why not do a t5 retro with 2 or 3 bulbs to start with and you could add more down the road. Check out reefgeek.com or marinedepot

    a t5 fixture would be able to grow corals right?
