    okay the only problem is i dont have a thermometer i went to get one today but the store i went to only had crappy ones
    should i check the temp before i add the damsel?
    and also in florida do i need a heater for this tank?

    i would always have a heater and thermometer in tank. The air will never stay a constant 78 degrees. Keep tank in room set lower than that and have heater set for desired temp. Those glass thermometers are some of the most accurate and reliable you can buy.......and a visi-therm stealth is a good heater, not too pricey either ;)

    im going to go to a fish store tomorrow for a thermometer and a heater and since the store i usually go to is closed on mondays i will get a clown on tuesday

    one more question once i get a fish should i start using lights?
    if so my tank has 2 lights one is a blue light and one is a regular light that makes a fan type noise when i put it on
    i am going to get timers but what lights should i use and when?

    1. Yes,
    2. both. Have the blue turn on about 1 hour before the other. rub the white one for about 8-10 hrs. have the blue turn off an hr after the white ;)

    im a little confused lol
    so the light will not be on 24 hours there will be times that i have no lights on?
    it will be on about 12 hours a day?

    Oh yes. Leave it on all the time and fish will be wierd and stressed. Fish sleep.......
