I was going to use one of these on my dwarf tank until I read all of the negative reviews. Almost everyone complained that it would'nt warm the water more than a degree over ambient temp so I figuired why bother. I've other things I can waste twenty bucks on.

Sounds good. I like the minimal look. I'm just wondering how cloudy/hazy the water might get, and stay, without powerheads or a filter....there's gonna be like no water movement. I know zoas aren't very demanding, but can they handle no flow like that? And the other corals too?

i have a maxijet 1200 in there right now. its borderline of too much.

I will just do massive waterchanges to clean up the water when it gets all fouled up

this sounds so sick! get posting the pictures to let us know what you do! i would drill it have a 40 gallon sump and have alot of things that pop like you said. I would do a short sand bed just for looks but bacteria would grow in it anyways lol.
