    I like LR as well but just a little is what you need to get some good bacteria and some coralline. Not ALL of us have purple everywhere because of our LR lol

    I did 100% dry rock and then tossed a frozen shimp in there to cycle. I am about 2 weeks into my currently cycle and it should be good to go within the next week.

    I did 100% LR in my last tank and had too many issues (bubble algae, bryopis, flat worms). If I ever did buy LR again it would be this L-REAL-REEF Premium Aquatics - L-REAL-REEF Aquarium Supplies

    I beleive you will have to add some type of bacteria to the tank. With just dry rock and shrimp it will not work.

    Huh...missed that post lol
    Guess I learned something new.
    Figured with nothing in the tank but decaying shrimp there would be no bacteria to start the cycle.
