    I haven't read enough about DSB's but what I have read is always conflicting on if they work or not. Obviously I've read the same about BB. In such a small tank if I do encounter any unwanted algae problems working with a BB will be much easier than any substrate.

    Here is the 10 gallon after almost 6 months. I added a sand bed and a marineland submersible LED fixture. The only creature is a reef lobster. There wasn't enough nutrients to grow all the macro so I only have small pieces left here and there. A lot of flow, RO/DI top off and some cyano on the side and back glass (which I keep in check)... In addition to the live rock.

    It's pretty and it's simple with almost no work. I'm very happy with it! :)
