    +1 to dark edges, but that could be supplemented with a normal T8 or even a couple coralife 50/50 10w power compact bulbs.

    Well the power compacts screw into normal bulb sockets and only cost about $10 each at petsmart. The PC's and a BoostLed DIY would be cake for a 10g. The PC's get warm but nothing too bad, no more than a normal light bulb. They could even be put into a clip on lamp with a lamp shade, unlike the BoostLed.

    if you do the rapid stuff i would say about 12 with the same amount of blue and white ;D
