    Well I cleaned it. I don't know of any other way to remove the gunk so I put the macro and water in a small bucket and took the refugium outside and gave it a good scrub. I noticed a lot of floating debris in the refugium water so I discarded that as well and did a 1qt water change. ;D

    Did you find any other creatures like pods or brittle stars?

    Looks better, weather it will function better as nitrate exporter I guess you will see. The previous image looked like some cyano was growing on the top???

    I haven't seen any brittle stars. I have seen some amphipods, and a few bristle worms before but none today. There is also a good amount of sessile hitch hikers, vermetid snails and spaghetti worms mostly, on the little rock there is.

    There was cyano on the sides and bottom. I think it just looked like it was on the top because its so shallow.
