Hammer coral was all shrunk up, looked like it was just a skeleton its so sucked in. Tested water, everything is good except ammonia was around 1.0ppm. Amquel got it down to 0 by this morning.

    ammonia 1.0ppm
    nitrate-0
    nitrite-0
    ph-8.2
    phosphate-0
    cal-above 500
    kh around 6
    specifit gravity 1.026
    temp 78

and i have 2 dwarf angels, flame and coral beauty so maybe they nipped it but i don't think so.

so would the 1ppm of ammonia cause it to close up?

would definitely do a water change, depending on size the others will be better able to give you an idea of size. also may want to consider using an ammonia removal agent such as zeolite granules. then monitor it closely... ammonia is a killer, and it's a quick killer too. Know from experience :(
