are you quarantining your fish? if they are diseased, which is common with new fish, they could be dying of velvet (Amyloodinium), which is a pretty...
are you all counting cuttlefish as fish? :) one of the coolest fish I have ever seen was at the Shedd Aquarium, where they have a coldwater display...
I think you'd come out with one maroon clown. :) Your tank is on the very small side for a marine fish tank, so you will be limited to just a...
I use my magfloat to hold it, but it doesn't last long. :)
sharks can be very challenging. sorry for your loss. if I were getting one, I'd put it right into a large tank right away. BTW, was your tank ever...
That is one of the best fish ever, IMO. :) Mine is an adult, and he rules the tank. Love the emperor angel attitude.
there are a couple of rays that stay relatively small and are pretty hardy - California ray is one and there is a small Caribbean ray (yellow ray)?...
Naso tangs require very large tanks, at least 3 times the size of your tank. Hippos grow quite large. You shouldn't add any more tangs to that tank.
A 55 is too small for either tang. I wouldn't get another tang. You will need to decide what to do with your yellow tang - upgrade to a larger tank...
I think your list sounds good except the marine betta. It is too passive and too slow a feeder to compete in that tank. I'd leave that one off....
You really need a larger tank for a pair of erectus. I'd use a 29 gallon, minimum. I agree with rayjay's advice 100%.
enjoy! FWIW, it didn't really matter which you got first, in this case.
Sorry about your loss. Coral beauties are one of the most beautiful dwarf angels, and with great personalities, IMO. I found out the hard way that...
you need to consider the activity level and territoriality of the fish. Some fish just need more room for themselves and away from other fish....
That is a great sized tank! Congratulantions on a great deal. I have a 210, but would love to have a 240 with the dimensions yours has instead....
do you realize how active this fish is, and how big it gets? they get 18 inches long not counting the tail, and are very thick bodied. an adult...
As big as you can afford and fit under the stand, or wherever you put it. There is no downside to the largest possible sump. The melev's reef...
I like the AquaC Remora Pro - I used one on a heavily stocked 120 gallon tank, and it managed to do a good job. If you get a HOB fuge, get a CPR...
Is it possible your tank underwent either a pH swing or low O2? Could have affected the wrasse before others - canary in a coal mine effect...
you can add a Naso to a 125, but it will definitely outgrow the tank. do you have it already? If I were you, I'd substitute a smaller, less active...
