I use a battery backup to keep power to my pumps. Won't help for the long outages, but is nice for the small ones.
my lemonpeel has stayed clear of my zoas and xenia...so far. i also like the glow in the dark eye shadow under blue lights.

Why not also add a battery backup / UPS, so you're still operating, when the power drops out for the short term? It'll keep the return going....
