Get the word out Nor-Cal style: Contest Entry

Glad to see you here, the people here will be able to help you a lot more than I can. It was nice to talk to you about your tank and see some pics today. It looks great, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

 

Here I am standing in front of the clinic after my run on my filter (no we don't run carbon). I found out that one of the techs has a full set-up collecting dust in her garage, and I'm looking forward to finding out what she's got. It was pretty fun to joke around and compare the chemical testing and filtration of dialysis and saltwater reeftanks. I already want a few of the systolic pumps they use to use as dossing pumps, but now I'm thinking that I would not mind getting some test kits from down there ether lol.

 

So I was a little reluctant to do this because it makes me feel a little like a biter because homegrowncorals has already done it, but I really want to win this, so I'm going to do everything I can think of and if anyone feels like steeling any of my ideas, great. Lets get the word out.

I'm going on a road trip from Santa Cruz to Willits and will be taking pics at places along the way.

 

haha one of the reasons I will be waiting closer to the new deadline before I enter my submission ;D I wanna win but I don't want everyone else gettin ideas haha I already have it all planned out, I def like the shirt though lol 3reef lowering bp nice haha

 

Willits for any special reason? I used to head up top Camp-N-Sons for yearly events

 

I grew up in willits and my dad is a old time hippy and I go up there to help him work on the property I was born on.

Here are some pics of the trip.
I started at the lane (flat and windy) and showed the tourists because there where no surfers to show.
I showed the lone solder at waddell creek. I stopped in Half Moon Bay for gas.
I showed the surfers are miramar and pacifica (I could have got a better pic at pacifica)

And finally the willits arch (or as we call it the old reno arch lol)
I thought I'd toss in a pic of the old remco building seeing as it's a little personal for me and I wonder how many reefs they have killed (I hate them, hate them with a passion grrrrrr) look them up if you feel like it and got time.

 

I sorta thought that some people would do this, but I'm finding that I only have so much time to get each thing done, and I'm trying to get in as many days as I can, but I'm glad to know that there will be some competition. I thought people would be all over this one.
Soooo try and steal this one lol. Today I'm going to take my extra 8.5 gal and some extra stuff I have and take a reef down town and run it off a inverter in my car for a while so I can show everyone down town what a reef really looks like. Of course I will be very limited in what I can do, but it should still be interesting.

 

that is a very interesting idea indeed to bad I don't Have a portable reef rofl I guess Ill throw up a teaser pic of m contest entry

 

so the downtown reef is going to have to wait until Friday because it's my girlfriends birthday and I just don't have enough time to get her the cake and flowers and go downtown for any amount of time.

It's not going to be anything super amazing because right now I have a cheap led light that works for low light things (and I might toss in a monti cap frag because I have extra) but it could be pretty sweet if I had some orpheks lol.
