    So I have a 30" coralife power compact fixture... 2 65w bulbs.

I want to start a new tank. smaller than i have now.

I have a 36g bow that I might take down because the wood stand got soaked from my hob skimmer leaking without me knowing for a day...

stands particle board too.. swelled up nicely... worried about its integerity now. :-/

Would it make a difference on what i could grow if i put my fixture on a ::confused:

    29g 18 " deep = take down present tank.

    20g L 12" deep = take down present tank.

10g- buy 18" lighting. keep present tank.

(all of this because damelsarecool inspired me on getting another nano)

The shallower tank will certainly open up more options.

At the bottom of 12" probably just about anything you want. 18" might limit it a little but you could still grow anything in the upper half of the tank.

If you have a small tank pcs will grown anything. The Nano Tank of the Month on rc was run with 3 pc bulbs and she had anything and everything from sps to scolys to softies.
