    hello, just recently bought my first saltwater tank.

    coralife biocube 29
    40lb live sand
    20lb live rock
    hydor koralia powerhead
    100w heater

    the tank has been running for about 2 weeks, with water test every other day. just added about 10 more pounds of live rock and completed my first water change also added a few hermits and snails. here is a few pics taken when i fist set it up

    That looks excellent, I love biocubes. We have quite a few members that have them.

    Well if it is not too late, I would have suggested holding off another couple of weeks before adding any fish. And when you do, I would actually add the clowns last. Spread out new fish by a month since it is a smaller tank. This will give the tank plenty of time to adjust to the new bio-load, as well as plenty of new time for the new addition to get fully acclimated to the tank.

    I too would have waited another week or so to add any fish. But if you already have continue to monitor for Ammonia and be prepared to do small water changes as needed.

    Initially some clowns will not eat during acclimation. Do not over feed the tank in an attempt to get them to eat, this will only contribute to possible new tank syndrome.

    If possible I would return the sand sifting star fish. They often do very poorly in newer smaller tanks. Eventually it might very well starve to death as most do with in a couple months.

    Just go slow and you will enjoy the hobby more in the long run.
