If you have two small spots you can do two methods that work very well and that I have personally used. Method I: Use epoxy, the stuff you hold rock together, to cover the algae. You can take it off in a month or two. I left it on for two months, no more bryopsis. Method II: Make a mixture of bleach and water and apply it with a Q-tip. You can get up right next to the coral without much damage, just be careful. I used about a 1:1 ratio. Raising the Mg may help, but it also may not, only certain species respond to it.

Update: Just said to hell with it and fragged it. The rock was a series of dense branches maybe 6"x5". A pair of sidecutters and pliers later and I broke the thing down and just threw away the areas contaminated.
Nice little bonus: For weeks I had heard snapping that I attributed to my randalli pistol shrimp...in breaking this down I found two *tiny* pistols living in a small hole. Sadly one was lost but the other made it and is now back in the tank :)
