I am looking online to purchase a new test kit for magnesium....i'm looking at either Elos or Seachem. Just curoius to see what others thought of the brands and comments on using them. The Elos is about $10 less than seachem, but i want a good accurate consistant reading.

I like Salifert's Mag test kit a lot.

| Giant Squid | I've got to second this. I've used Red Sea for other tests like alk, N03 etc and was not impressed But I got into a crunch a month ago and ordered a RedSea Mag test. IMO as long as you follow the instructions to the tee it's pretty accurate. The color change can be a little challenging but I've not had problems with mine so far. Salifert is my usual brand tho.

I have the Seachem kit also, Seachem is the only manufacturer that has a reference solution to see if you are performing the test properly. It is easy to use also.
